Challenge #4 – “You Are Who You Wear”

This week was all about replicating the style and feel of the designer we were assigned. I got Yves Saint Laurent – at least I had heard of him!! After some researching, I fell in love with the iconic photo of Le Smoking tuxedo suit for women, which was created in 1966 and was the first of its kind. It pioneered long, minimalist, androgynous styles for women, as well as the use of power suits and the pantsuit in modern-day society. Yves Saint-Laurent was seen by many as having empowered women by giving them the option to wear clothes that were normally worn by men with influence and power.
